TechFunders Turns Two

TFC took its current form after the 2002 GEO Conference. Preceeded by several years of informal conversations, several funders interested in the benefial social impacts of technology present at the 2002 GEO Conference took the initiative to create a venue where funders could collaborate and learn. Within six months, TFC was on its feet, and planning the first ever funder summit on technology. Check out the 2004 GEO Conference -- where several sessions with TechFunders leadership are occuring.

The State of Technology Research

What are the proven social impacts of ICT dispersal? What scientifically sound and rigorous research on outcomes is there out there? We wondered the same thing ourselves.
